There is Always Hope

Hope is What gets Us Through
As winter is followed by spring
New life begins to grow and bloom
As storms are followed by rainbows
Sunshine comes to chase the gloom
As darkness is followed by light
Cheerful birdsong heralds the day
Then sorrow must be followed by joy
To chase the pain and tears away
As we travel our journey of life
And find we’re on a slippery slope
When we reach the end of our tether
Remember there is always hope

I got a warning that this hub would be flagged beacause it was too short on content. Considering all the Haikus around this is rediculous and I just wish and HOPE hubpages would be consistent with their rules.

Hello Rosemary,
What a beautiful poem and thoughts to take to heart. I love your new Avatar...how cute! Is that a Great Pyrenees?..I am not sure if I spelled that right..I love those dogs..They have many here in Texas to work with the cattle..
Anyway.. wonderful hub..Thank you
God bless,
Sunnie
As long as you have friends, and you know you do, there is always hope. Blessings to you in this new year!
Hi Rosemary, beautiful poem, I hope every winter day for Spring to arrive and bring warmth back to our air. Hope for it to happen soon.
P.S.You forgot to approve comments.
This work has a nice melody to it Rosemay. Hope is what makes all of us push forward. I think you portrayed that well.
The bird poem I wrote but a singing bird he's still around, I heard him sing a couple of days and he lifted my spirits.
Your poem is great love it. Voted it up and awesome my friend.
Rosemary,
Loved your poetry.
You make excellent point on your note. Once my hub was unpublished saying it was substandard, the only criteria it met was it was too short. However, the same length hub is getting nice traffic these days.
i love the message that this poem conveys, very hopeful...
Rose Mary, this is beautiful indeed. What is joy without sorrow, what is happiness without pain? They are both sides of the same coin of life. But Hope always prevails for those who set their eyes on it!!
Best wishes for a glorious year ahead!!
Hi Rose, I really loved this message of hope. It is so true what you've said to Sofs. "You can't appreciate one without experiencing the other". I'll be hoping for clear sunny days filled with birdsong for you and lots of rainbows. Love, Peg
I needed that today. and I agree I should be able to write a short piece hub if that's what my inspiration leads me to write. it's almost like reverse censorship. so haiku to you and all that!
OK, it's short, but sweet! Couldn't you just add a few more lines just to make HP happy? I read somewhere that the rule doesn't apply to poetry. Anyway, I liked it!
It is not too short on content at all, Rosemay. If something is worth saying then it is worth saying in as many words or as few words as you wish. By the response you have received, it is obvious to me, to you, and to Hub Pages, that this is worth reading and keeping in one's heart.
This is beautiful and uplifting..I especially liked, " When we reach the end of our tether, Remember there is always hope." Best Wishes Rosemary.
Hi Rosemay - firstly a very Happy New Year to you and yours! I hope 2012 is a good one for you!
Secondly - the photograph with the wee one and the dog is so beautiful!!! I hadn't even read your wonderful poem, but the photo had me smiling big time! Anyway, onto your poem. The feelings I have are beautiful and uplifting. But the poem is more than that - it is very true what you have written, even although at times it might not feel like it. It doesn't matter how dark/black/bad things are there is always light, love and hope at the end of it. We just need to keep believing that light will always follow the dark.
A beautiful start to 2012 from your wonderful poem and your lovely photograph!
Your poem is just the right length, Rosemary, for the message it brings. Beautiful. And speaking of beautiful, that baby is beautiful and that tremendously large dog is beautiful. Warning! If you ever lose the baby, just look underneath the dog!
Yes Rosemay, there is Always Hope, and you have said it oh so well in your Lovely Poem in Celebration of the New Year 2012.
Happy New Year Dear Friend, I'm so glad you are still here on Hub Pages!
Speaking of vacuuming around the dog, have you ever vacuumed her. Maybe get a head start on the hair cleanup. I used to vacuum my dog. This one doesn't like it but my Beau dog used to love it. I also clipped him during the summer and just vacuumed it off as I cut. I think it was cool when I vacuumed.
If mine is out when we get in the car, he tries to get in also. Lol It is fine unless Katy is just starting him out for his walks. He goes out only on a leash where we're at. He loves to ride but wants the front passenger seat. Usually that is Dennis' seat. I rode to Illinois with him on my lap.
Brilliant as always Rosemay, what a great start to the New Year.
I have to award an up up and away here.
Take care my friend.
Eddy.
Oh yes indeed 'There is always hope!!'
There has to be hasn't there and I vote this one up without a doubt.
Take care and enjoy your day my friend.
Eddy.
What would we all do without hope? Such a great message from this poem Rosemay. Love the poem. Voted up, useful, and awesome. You have a great New Year as well Rosemay. I wish you nothing but the best.
Where there is hope there is a way, a beautiful poem and message, voted up and awesome.
Aintchaglad U didn't go away?
See how much people appreciate you, Rosemay?
Oh hunnie, what a beautiful and inspirational poem you have written. The words sing gently in my ears and tell me such a story of hop and love. I too am having problems with HP at the moment. Apparently, I have duplicated a hub. I think I would know if I had published it else where first. I adore your new avatar, beautiful baby and my kind of dog. Oh those hairs lol Net:)
it is so good to know there is always hope.. I love your poem Rosemary.. great job
I voted up and beautiful
Debbie
I love your sweet poem. It reminds me that after every negative, life WILL look up. I appreciate these words especially now and I am going to bookmark this page - HP better leave it here so I can find it when I come looking!
I think I would not bother getting out of bed without hope. Beautiful poem.
Re: commercial hub/not enough content - the computer bot doesn't realize this is a poem, it just sees there is an outside link and panics.
Where would we be without hope....beautiful poem.
A beautiful piece of creative writing.
We need poems like this to remind us the magic of hope, thank you for writing.
:)
Hi Rosemay
Beautiful and inspirational. There is always hope. :-)
Voted up and away.
Yes, there is always hope and you have provided beautiful examples of where we can find it. A very lovely, uplifting poem, I like it a lot and vote accordingly!!!
Oh, and if the Hubpages administrators think your hub is too short they should come back and take a look at how much your beautiful poem is appreciated by the hubpages community!!
What is life without Hope? I have been hopeful and thankful on so many occasions, life is beautiful, but without friendships it's a dull one. I am thankful to have friends like you here at the Hubs to sustain myself and push on. A very beautiful poem and I agree with Fennelseed about the administrators letting up and not sweating the small stuff but considering first and foremost the content of each scribe and the ABUNDANCE of comments left by your loyal fans. Chin Up my dear, you are a wonderful scribe, don't let them pull you down. Happy New Year to you and yours for 2012 and beyond.
This is a lovely and inspiring piece. You are so right in that nature gives us our cues, and her patterns of death and renewal give us hope. Beautifully written!
Hope is all we need... it's a stepping stone.. and you write wonderfully loved your ... hope Frank :)
I love this poem , very pretty and the fact that it rhymes is a plus with me ! On the subject of it being too short , it appears you have done what i usually do , which is your bottom paragraph to them. It seems to me , the left hand at the hub doesnt know what the right hand is doing . The haikus , i dont really care for , if they are poetry then i guess so is this that i am writing to you , except in waaay shorter terms or next to nothing. takes all kinds i guess , but anyway, i voted this up , awesome and beautiful ! Have a wonderful afternoon !:)
In my darkist days you made me see hope, yes sometimes hope is all we can hold on to to pull us through. xx
PS so happy I can leave comments on my amazing siters work.
What a beautiful creation! It had a very uplifting, even serene effect on me, love it to bits!
