Come Fly High With Me
65
Come Fly With Me
Will you come fly with me
Soar up to heaven with me
Where there is no fear
No need for a tear
Will you come fly with me
Span the skies with me
I will break your chain
Shelter you from pain
Will you come fly with me
Follow the stars with me
I will give you the key
that will set you free
Will you come fly with me
Catch a moonbeam with me
I’ll open the door
You’ll hurt no more
Will you come fly with me
Ride a sunbeam with me
I’ll show you the light
you’ll know that its right
Will you come fly with me
Float on a cloud with me
I’ll break down that wall
And give you my all
Will you come fly with me
Slide a rainbow with me
I’ll keep you near
Hold your heart dear

Hello Rosemay. What a pleasant poem you have written. The John Denver song you selected to accompany your poetry is perfect. This must be your Valentines wish for your someone special.
You lead and I'll be right behind you. We have ballon rides right here in Las Vegas when it's not a windy like today. I love love John Denvers music, it's a great shame he passed so suddenly in his plane. Voted up and awesome.
Dear Rosemay,
This piece describes a perfect love to me, one where there is trust, safety to heal and the freedom to fly. Your photography is amazing. I also love this song, a magical duet. Voted UP & Beautiful.
Hugs and have a great day, mar.
Poetry and song, beautiful. I had never heard this one, thanks!
i'll be willing to fly with you, soar high and forget the nuances of life for a while...
Fly high Rose May! Fly high and don't let anyone or anything ever pull you down. Lovely poem, nice rhythm to it:) Have a lovely weekend! God Bless!
Rosemay, this is such a beautiful poem. Soaring in the clouds, reaching for the stars and heavens. It puts the soul at ease. Hope your doing good my friend. Great poem.
So romantic! I like the idea of sliding a rainbow...
Beautiful!
you guys did a great job.. would love to soar high.. with your words.. your baby you and that beautiful dog
Rosmay this is lovely! How often do we wish we had the wings of a bird just to take off and leave or troubles behind. But more than that, being able to take a loved one with us to let them break free from their pain, fear and stresses.
I loved this. Voted up + awesome + bookmarked. Also, I hope you don't mind but I've also sent this on to a good friend who is recovering from a bad time in his life. He loves poetry and I know for a fact that he will love this beautiful poem of yours! Many thanks for sharing this.
Catching moonbeams? Riding on sunbeams? Floating on clouds? Sliding on rainbows?
Oh, Rosemary, what joy that all brings.
Those would be a few of my favorite things.
Thanks for this sweet, tender poetry.
Love it Rosemary, fly away so free..I am listening to John..Beautiful..
If we all held dear the precious hearts of others, the world sure would be a kinder place. Your scenario makes me long for that peace Rosemay.

Mmm, an awesome poem complemented by an awesome musician? Sounds like a match made in heaven to me:)
Wonderful work dear heart, and God Bless You. Great hub.
Flying high sounds fun. It reminds me of a story of two eagles i wrote about. One eagle flew high and free while the other was scared to take flight, but in his admiration for the other eagle he ventured out and learned to fly too.
Honestly, while pondering why one say's 'honestly.' Hmmmm a hub idea for sure. Any hoot not to get distracted, brb, I got'sta go back and read it again. Tick-tock goes the clock. back. I have two favorite stanzas
"I will give you the key
that will set you free"
and
"I’ll open the door
You’ll hurt no more"
My mind is racing wondering what happen to an old brass navy lock I had with two keys. I use to imagine it belonged to Davey Jones locker.
I'm picturing the hobbits village too. Oh, I guess what I am saying is this poem you have shared of 'self' has awoken the imagination. So, many writing ideas inspired from so much emotional passion fueling the 'dream' of destiny.
Thank you for the awakening of sorts as I gaze across the unknown countryside flying below.
Wow this was totally amazing, simply beautiful.
Great hub I loved it beautiful! Keep them coming.
So very lovely, full of hope and the beauty of a new undiscovered day, I certainly hope that you both soared those blue heights even higher
